Singapore's Tada Launches Crypto Payment With Ton

Singapore ride-hailing company TADA has announced its first cryptocurrency payment integration in a strategic partnership with the TON Foundation. This integration allows users to order a ride and pay with Toncoin (TON) or Tether (USDT) using a Telegram Mini App.

The Mini App is integrated into the functionality of the Telegram messaging app to ensure that users have an efficient and reliable telegram experience when using cryptocurrency.

Telegram launched the mini app of Tada that enables users to book, and pay for, rides straight through the Telegram app.Additionally, Mini App enables riders to finalize their orders using Toncoin or Tether on the TON network.

Tada was established in 2018 and is currently based in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia with an anticipated entry into Hong Kong by 2024. Through this move of accepting cryptocurrency payments, Tada is responding to an increasing tendency of using digital payments in the ride-hailing market.

During the interview, Harvey Kim, Head of Korea at the TON Foundation, said that it brings Web3 solutions closer to people by incorporating them into Web2 services. He stressed that Web2 and Web3 need collaboration to introduce the audience to the benefits of using blockchain technology.
